Western Wall — 3D glass painting by Jean-Pierre Weill: the Kotel in Jerusalem, shared history and future

Western Wall: The Shared History and Future That Bind Us Together

The Kotel has stood for two thousand years. Empires rose and fell around it. The stones absorbed prayers in every language. People still come from every corner of the world and press their hands against it.

    Jean-Pierre Weill painted that.

    The Work

Western Wall is a 3D painting on glass from Jean-Pierre Weill Studios. Figures in prayer lean into the ancient stones, vines growing in the cracks above them, a bird crossing the open sky beyond. Built in layers behind the glass, the stones sit at different depths, the figures pressing forward as if the wall itself has weight and presence. Western Wall represents the shared history and future that bind us together as a people, no matter how different we may be as individuals.

A Piece of Jerusalem for Every Jewish Home

Western Wall works as a Jewish home gift, a bar or bat mitzvah gift, a gift for someone returning from Israel, or original Kotel art for any home where Jerusalem holds meaning.

Collectors drawn to the spirit of Western Wall may also find that quality in Jerusalem Prayer, where letters float in the air around the Holy Temple and connection is built through acts of kindness, and in The Western Wall, the Grand Collection painting where generations of worshippers pour out their hopes and sorrows into the embrace of those ancient stones.
